The tank container is the safest and most relevant equipment for carrying liquid chemicals today: RZD-Partner

In an interview with the news agency RZD-Partner, A. Grechin commented on the situation created by the new cargo transport rules issued by Rostransnadzor on 20 February 2014.

“By our specialists' estimates, more than a million tonnes of liquid chemical cargo a month is carried on public tracks in rolling stock that does not match the manufacturer's list of technical conditions.” Companies that do not break the rules when carrying cargo will therefore be the ones in demand on the market for liquid chemical transport.

In Grechin's view, the safest and most relevant equipment for carrying liquid chemicals today is the tank container, which meets all the necessary requirements.
